BY TRAIN:

Take Metro-North Railroad (Hudson Line) from Grand Central Station in New York City to Tarrytown.

Taxicabs will be available to take you between the station and Tarrytown House.   The cost is $6 and takes about 10 minutes. There will be a shuttle bus ($5 fare) from the Tarrytown station to Tarrytown House for trains arriving in Tarrytown at 3:36pm and 4:32pm. The train schedule for Friday, October 12 is as follows:

BY CAR:

NEW YORK CITY (East Side)
Take the FDR North, across the Willis Avenue Bridge onto the Major Deegan Expressway North.   The Major Deegan will turn into the NY State Thruway.   Take the Thruway North to Exit 9.   (Exit will say, "Tarrytown, last exit before bridge").   At the end of the exit, turn left onto Route 119 West.   Go to the first traffic light and make a left onto Route 9 South.   Go to the third light (approximately 1 mile) and turn left onto East Sunnyside Lane.   Tarrytown House is the second entrance on the left.

NEW YORK CITY (West Side)

Take the West Side Highway North.   This will turn into the Sawmill River Parkway.   Take the Sawmill North to the NY State Thruway.   Take the Thruway North to Exit 9 (Exit will say, "Tarrytown, last exit before bridge").   At the end of the exit, turn left onto Route 119 West.   Go to the first traffic light and make a left onto Route 9 South.   Go to the third traffic light (approximately 1 mile) and turn left onto East Sunnyside Lane, Tarrytown House is the second entrance on the left.

CONNECTICUT

Drive South on I-95, 684 or the Merrit Parkway to 287 West.   Take 287 West to NY State Thruway North to Exit 9 (Exit will say, "Tarrytown, last exit before bridge").   Follow same directions as above.

LONG ISLAND

Take the Throg's Neck or Whitestone Bridge onto the New England Thruway (1-95) North.   Take Exit 21 onto I-287 West.   Take 287 West to NY State Thruway North to Exit 9 (Exit will say, "Tarrytown, last exit before bridge").   Follow same directions as above.

NEW JERSEY

Palisades or Garden State Parkway, to the NY State Thruway South.   Cross the Tappan Zee Bridge.   Immediately after the tollbooth, get off at Exit 9 (first exit on the right).   At the end of the exit turn left onto Route 9 South.   Go to the second traffic light (approximately ½ mile) and turn left onto East Sunnyside Lane.   Tarrytown House is the second entrance on the left.

FROM THE NORTH

Take the Taconic State Parkway South to the Sawmill River Parkway South.   Get off Exit 22 (I-287 West).   Take 287 West to NY State Thruway North to Exit 9 (Exit will say, "Tarrytown, last exit before bridge").   At the end of the exit, turn left onto Route 119 West.   Go to the first traffic light and make a left onto Route 9 South.   Go to the third traffic light (approximately 1 mile) and turn left onto East Sunnyside Lane, Tarrytown House is the second entrance on the left.
